Sunday Morning Sweater Club
Sweater knitting can be a big endeavor, and finding your people can help make it less lonesome! Drop in to work on sweater projects at Indigo Purls on Sunday mornings. Focused help and assistance from an experienced sweater knitter is available at our work table from 11 to 12. Punch cards are offered for folks that need this focused help, $30 provides punches for 7 help sessions. If you're just looking for company, that's free!

Christmas Stocking with Michelle
"Christmas Stockings" by Faye Kennington. This is a toe up and afterthought heel designed stocking. Students will learn Judy's Magic Cast-on as well as how to do an afterthought heel and Kitchener stitch. The pattern includes 24 colorwork charts to mix and match so every design will be unique!

Focus on Fit with Valerie
Valerie Robinson is an experienced knitter with many sweaters and garments successfully completed and proudly worn. She uses the knowledge passed down from her grandmother, who was an accomplished tailor and dressmaker, to ensure a good fit. She says you can knit to accommodate your curves by taking measurements and being thoughtful about pattern construction and adjustments. Join Valerie for a day of learning how to take measurements - for yourself or others - and a discussion about picking the right pattern or making alternations. After this class, you will have the tools and the knowledge to knit a sweater that really fits! This is a group class - fit and shape can be difficult to discuss, so let's create a safe space to figure this out together and have some fun doing it! Students who took the class in the Spring had a great time, and almost everyone embarked on their first sweaters soon after.

November Square of the Month
This square will be used for an optional crochet-along to make the bag design from the book. After you learn the square you can purchase the materials for the bag and the group will work on these squares in December and January. Third Saturday mornings from 10 to noon we will meet to learn a new granny square pattern from the excellent book "A Year In Granny Squares" by Kylie Moleta. Maddy and Sara will teach students to make the square from kits we provide. Purchase of the book is required to participate, each month a new kit will be offered for the featured square. A student discount will be offered for purchase of the book.
