Learn how to crochet! This class covers chain stitch, single, half-double, double, and treble crochet.

Learn how to knit with Cheryl! Week one will cover the knit stitch. Week two will cover the purl stitch. These two stitches make up the foundation of knitting.

Crafting for the Kitchen Coasters/Garland This is the third in Sara’s Crafting for the Kitchen series. You will learn about how to wet-felt by knitting or crocheting these coasters that can also be used as motif’s for a cute garland for your kitchen window! We provide the feltable yarn in multiple colors andwe provide the patterns for knit or crochet. Once felted, your coasters will be a cheery edition to your kitchen or side table. You will felt these at home or come back to Indigo Purls on May 31 and we will felt them together.

First Sweater - top down baby jacket Sundays: March 23, 30, April 13, 27 - from 10am to 12pm You will learn the simple raglan structure of this baby jacket, including a knit-as-you go button band, simple button holes, and a cozy shawl collar. This design starts at the neck and knits down to the garter stitch bottom edge. The infant pattern comes in 0 -3 months, 3 - 6 months, or 12 months. The same pattern is available if you prefer in toddler or children’s sizes.

Join Michelle to learn how to fix common mistakes in your knitting.

Maddy will go over common elements of patterns you will find on-line and on Ravelry, and how to evaluate and decide whether to jump in. She will touch on skill levels, clues about pattern difficulty, terminology, symbols, and common issues knitters run into. Maddy’s instruction will help you choose the right pattern for you, and avoid common pitfalls! Hand out of tips will be provided.

Hvammsvik is a modularly constructed blanket pattern by Stephen West. It can be knit as a small baby-sized blanket, a generous throw-size, or a full-sized blanket. The interesting construction lends itself to endless color combinations! And the method of knitting and joining as you go means there is limited finishing required.

Learn to make a double-knit fabric!

Knit this fabulous cowl two-dimensional cowl that easily doubles up for a very cozy, squishy accessory. Brioche stitch requires practice, and this knit will provide you the experience to move on to more complex designs. Maddy will be there to walk you through the pattern and help you overcome the hurdles.

This fun bag is knit in the shape of an Octopus, as the designer puts it "A fun little cephalopod...." The head forms the bag, with a drawstring to hold in the dice, and tentacles finish this fearsome receptacle. Pattern purchased separately and costs $7, purchase of $20 kit required on the first day of this project and includes worsted weight hand-dyed yarn, stuffing, and eyes.

These cute sea turtles are quick to make from worsted and DK weight yarn. You will want to make multiples from the pattern "SeaTurtle Stack" by Rebecca Olson. The pattern is a free download. You will need to bring the pattern copy, double pointed needles in sizes US#4 and US#5, scissors, your favorite stuffing and a tapestry needle. Yarn kit is required to be purchased on the first day of the knit-along and costs $20. Enough yarn is provided to knit at least two sea turtles, safety eyes are included in the kit! This project would be difficult to accomplish with circular needles or magic loop.
