How to Read Patterns

When you first start knitting and looking at patterns it can feel like you are reading a different language! So many acronyms, symbols, assumptions by the pattern writer that you know what they are telling you to do! And sometimes you fall in love with a pattern that is not very well written, or that has errors. You can't always avoid these pitfalls.
Maddy will go over common elements of patterns you will find on-line and on Ravelry, and how to evaluate and decide whether to jump in. She will touch on skill levels, clues about pattern difficulty, terminology, symbols, and common issues knitters run into. Maddy’s instruction will help you choose the right pattern for you, and avoid common pitfalls! Handout of tips will be provided.
