Sunday Crafternoon Sea Turtles

These cute sea turtles are quick to make from worsted and DK weight yarn. You will want to make multiples from the pattern "SeaTurtle Stack" by Rebecca Olson. The pattern is a free download. You will need to bring the pattern copy, double pointed needles in sizes US#4 and US#5, scissors, your favorite stuffing and a tapestry needle. Yarn kit is required to be purchased on the first day of the knit-along and costs $20. Enough yarn is provided to knit at least two sea turtles, safety eyes are included in the kit! This project would be difficult to accomplish with circular needles or magic loop.
The turtle pieces are knit separately, leaving yarn tails for sewing. Once knit, the pieces are sewn together using primarily a simple whip stitch. Elaborate grafting is not required.
This is a beginner friendly project - should be comfortable with dpns, increases and decreases, and sewing.
