Home Dyeing Workshop
Using undyed yarn students will try kettle dyeing in a conventional dye pot, hand painting skeins and finishing them in a microwave, sun dyeing, and Abundant Earth dye tinctures in a jar. We will be using non-toxic chemical dyes that are easy to use and are fixed to fiber with food-grade citric acid. We will not be using plant dyes that require more toxic ingredients to achieve color.

Tuition pays for dye assistants, yarn, dye materials, and use of equipment.
