Overdye Workshop

Do you have yarn that no longer thrills you? The color is off? It no longer makes your heart sing? We have the workshop for you. You bring up to a pound of wool-blend yarn to our dye house and we work with you to over-dye it. Overdying is a great way to refresh old yarn, and you just may fall in love with it again! We set up the pots with some of our stock dyes, and you dip your yarn and see what happens! While this is not a "custom dye" event, we show you the ropes and basic safety protocols and you get a little hands-on experience.

You provide the yarn, we provide the dye pots, mix the dyes, and show you how to prep and overdye your yarn. Wear comfortable clothing that you wouldn't mind getting stained (just in case, we have aprons). We will show you how to prep your yarn for dyeing, and walk you through the process.

Tuition covers the instructor, dye materials, use of equipment.
