Stranded Knitting with Michelle - Aluma Hat

Learn to knit with two colors at a time in the same row with Michelle. This technique is used for all kinds of stranded color work, including traditional Faire Isle patterns. This class is part technique, part knit-along as you make the Alumna Hat by Traci Scott. This traditional star-motif hat is knit up in our soft local Jorstad Shetland yarn in brilliant blues, white, pink, and charcoal. Kits with patterns are included in the class fee! You bring needles and notions.
Students should be comfortable knitting stockinette in the round for this hat project. You will learn how to use two yarns in a single row as you knit from a color work chart. Colorwork charts are the simplest type of chart to follow, so no prior experience required.
